What is Feminism?

Now before I begin,

Ide like to ask...

“Are you a Feminist”?

Many of you probably said “No, I don’t believe in all that cr*p”.

If you said “Yes, I am!", well you are already one step ahead.

Before I educated myself on feminism and finally chose to say “I am a Feminist”; This is what I believed... Feminism meant the “power for the women”, “women should run the world”; and thought to myself, “that’s a little excessive, isn’t it? Can’t we all just get along? Equality for men and women. Not only that but at some times in my life actually believed that men should just run the world… that’s how its always been done and we’re all here today, aren’t we? They are the superior race, women couldn't be close in excellence. It would be nice to just have a “real man” tell me what to do, and I can just do what a woman does... you know? be cute? and those people who think women are better are wrong.

But that idea of feminism and what society had made feminism look like, was all WRONG….

By definition, Feminism is…

 “The advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.”

Hm..

Sounds a lot like Equality, does it not?

Feminism is NOT, “women should push men out of their roles, and take over the world”. Feminism is NOT, “Women naturally can be just as muscular and strong as men.”

Feminism is NOT, “Women should be the breadwinners and men should stay home and tend to the house and children”.

 Feminism is the ideology that women are just as capable and have their own unique sets of skills that aren’t being used to their maximum power.

If I haven’t caught your attention yet, you most likely just rolled your eyes and said, “Oh, another one of those radical feminist ladies who thinks they can do what men can do, but its not even physically possible”.

Your right, my friend.

But read this again “Women have their own unique sets of skills and abilities”.

Men are born naturally with their own sets of advanced qualities and abilities.

Women are born naturally with their own sets of advanced qualities and abilities.

Feminism is not about taking away from the man, but rather it is supporting the women in achieving their highest power. Supporting them in using their natural born qualities, abilities and femininity to be just as capable.

Women have a power that society does not help develop; a power that makes a woman unstoppable, a power that gives them strength and confidence and independence. Feminism is the ideology that brings women and men together to support women in acknowledging and unleashing that power. Feminism is telling women THEY CAN, not telling them they are incapable. It is supporting confidence and strength, while also not expecting them to achieve the same level of excellence in a strength, in which men are naturally going to excel further in.

Feminism is Lifting woman up.

A feminist would say, “You are capable, you are feminine and you CAN”!

Now I will ask again.. “Are you a Feminist?”
